DISABLED FACE EMPLOYMENT CHALLENGES

The Wall Street Journal recently reported that the unemployment rate for people with disabilities has risen to 16.4% this year. The rate for workers with a disability with a bachelor degree is twice thatof workers without a disability.

The Hearing and Speech Center is proud to continue it's workplace advocacy for people with hearing loss, and support for employers through education and resources. This year, we are partnering with the Mayor's Office of Housing to improve employment opportuntiies for people with hearing loss.
