Do you sometimes wonder if there is new technology or a new treatment that could help you manage your hearing? Have you ever wondered how others with hearing loss handle daily challenges? Do you feel that you have learned through your experiences and could help others?
Audiologists and ear, nose, and throat doctors (ENTs) can provide excellent information and support for your hearing health and needs. A support group can supplement these services by helping you explore ideas and innovations.
Professional Support: All our support groups are facilitated by professionals specializing in Deafness. Often participants are the best resource for others in the group, but our professionals can help with addressing technical issues or questions.
Learning from One Another: People of all backgrounds and professions attend the groups as well as spouses, partners, family, and friends. By sharing each other’s experiences, you can learn from others. The groups are a safe place that allows you to share your own stories without any judgments. Discussions range from topic to topic and even though the group is facilitated by a professional staff member, the conversations are often led based on the needs of the participants.
