Each and every gift helps the Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California provide better services for deaf and hard-of-hearing people throughout the Bay Area.

How Your Gift Can Help

• $2,000 puts a child with hearing loss in a supportive classroom with daily speech therapy sessions for one month
• $1,000 provides a deaf/hard-of-hearing child with communication and counseling support
• $500 provides a family with a deaf child with eight intensive communication training sessions
• $250 provides a hard-of-hearing adult with five mental health sessions
• $100 provides two low-income seniors access to hearing aids
• $50 provides information, guidance and referrals to five families.

Hearing Aid Donations

We accept donations of behind-the-ear hearing aids of good quality and in good condition from Widex, Resound, Starkey, Phonak, Oticon, and Unitron which can be refurbished for reuse.

Unfortunately, we cannot use in-the-ear hearing aids or hearing aids from other manufacturers. The Ear of the Lion Foundation, also known as The Hearing Foundation, can accept these donations. Learn more here.

If you would like to donate a hearing aid that meets our requirements , please fill out this form, and mail it to us with the hearing aid(s).

More Ways to Help the Hearing and Speech Center

• Volunteer at one of our events, fundraisers, at our office, or in our resource center.
• Ask your employer about matching your gift.
• Send us or bring in a used hearing aid or other listening device.
• Select the Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California as the beneficiary of your United Way or other workplace giving campaign.
