Tinnitus Support Group
The next meeting of the San Francisco Tinnitus Support/Education Group
will be TUESDAY AUGUST 17 at the usual time 5:30-7:00. (Meetings
tend to go later when we have a big group so plan accordingly.) We
meet in the second floor conference room at The Hearing and Speech
Center of Northern California, 1234 Divisadero St. in San Francisco.
There is free parking behind the building.
Although I haven't received the August Tinnitus Today issue, I am
hoping to have it for our next meeting. It always has interesting
articles on current research and questions that guide our discussions
not only on tinnitus and hyperacusis but also on auditory perception,
somatosensory involvement, sleep and drug issues, etc.
If there is time, I would like to play some soothing sounds used for
tinnitus and also show some relaxation exercises that have been
helpful in managing tinnitus.
These meetings provide support for people with tinnitus and
hyperacusis. Current information on tinnitus instruments and
treatments are presented along with discussion of coping with and
managing the problems associated with tinnitus and hyperacusis.
Please let us know if you will be attending the meeting.
